FREE ADMISSION with donations appreciated The Egg and I: The story of a young married couple who become chicken farmers. Betty follows her husband Bob to the countryside where his dream is to be a successful chicken farmer. The problem is, their home is old and needs to be repaired and the baby chicks need constant care. When a rich single woman with a new house and new farm equipment flirts with Bob, Betty questions their decision to move to the farm in the first place. Little Women: Little Women is a coming-of-age novel written by American novelist Louisa May Alcott, originally published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869. The story follows the lives of the four March sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy—and details their passage from childhood to womanhood. This performance will be about 2.5 hours with a 15 minute intermission. Both movies were performed as one-hour radio plays on Lux Radio Theatre shortly after the films were released, with the movie stars reprising their roles. Admission to this fundraising event for Imagination Library Johnson County is free and tickets are not required, however a donation is encouraged. 100% of the donations received will go toward providing books to children under the age of 5 and living in Johnson County.
